Castle Ruin Pařez
A castle carved into a sandstone rock called Pařez (Tree stump) is situated on the edge of Prachov Rocks. A few chambers carved into the stone and fragments of outer walls are the only remnants that survive to this day.
Very few reliable historical sources exist concerning this castle standing on a sandstone rock beside the road near the village of Pařezská Lhota. Sources first mention the castle in the year 1403, and its probable destruction is dated during the Hussite wars. Nowadays, there are still remnants of tower walls. Red marking leads to this castle.
