Humprecht Chateau

Humprecht commands a position above the town of Sobotka. The chateau was designed by Italian architect Carlo Lurago as a summer hunting lodge for Count Humprecht Jan Czernin of Chudenice. Humprecht is an unmistakable symbol of the Bohemian Paradise. What makes this building so unique are its elliptical floor plan and conical roof. Visitors especially enjoy the dining hall, with its superb acoustics and 16-metre-high ceiling, and an observation gallery providing panoramic views.
