Wallenstein’s Mint and Museum
Would you like to try minting coins as they used to in the 17th century? Then do not forget to pay Wallenstein’s mint a visit.
The private museum and mint are located on the square at No. 114; you only need to walk into the interior courtyard. The museum presents pivotal moments in the life of Albrecht von Wallenstein, his horoscopes, and a history of minting. Minting your own coin is included in the entrance fee. The owners of the museum are planning to expand the exhibits, such as a numismatic collection that is being added soon.
The current exhibition is only in Czech; however, the next high season will accommodate English speakers as well.
