Valdštejn Castle

Valdštejn is the oldest castle in the Bohemian Paradise. The complex compound of the castle was built on jagged rocks over centuries. A walk around the castle shows visitors gothic walls, cliff vaults, and buildings and art from the Baroque and Classicist periods. Further renovations from the Romantic period are combined with the medieval ages and the 19th century. Even the starting point – the bridge - captures visitor’s attention with baroque sculptures of Czech patron saints.
